    Hi Paul, the default loading without any resistors fitted in loading plugs is 47K ohms, the same loading used with MM.

    I specifically arranged it that way so that with typical loading resistances of under 1K ohm you can fit the required resistor value and not worry about any lower default resistance being in parallel and reducing the actual value.

    That makes sense Alan I was thinking more along the lines of a standard 47 KOHm MM input with a 1:10 SUT up front for MC which is pretty common, but yours is obviously not this configuration. Thanks for the clarification

    I use a FET cascode circuit for MC input but optimised so that no decoupling capacitors are needed, so no electrolytics or huge foil caps required.
