    Default Squeezebox Problem. Again.

    Probably Stratmangler will answer this in 2.5 seconds.......The Logitech Media Server keeps stopping, and I have to keep restarting so I can listen to music stored on an attached hard drive.

    My question is why?

    And is there a longer term fix to stop it happening?

    First thing I'd check Craig is for networking gremlins.
    Easy solution: switch everything off at the plug, including your router/hub..whatever.
    (Don't switch your amps off )

    Switch back on in this order:
    * Router/Hub

    ...then leave it a few minutes before switching everything else on.
    then

    * External drive
    * SB touch

    See what happens after that.

    Assuming all things equal...90% of squeezebox issues can be solved by a network reset like I detailed above.

    What device is the hard drive in question connected to?

    Are you running LMS on a NAS/Server? Or are you using the touch as both server & player?

    From memory you're running TinySC on the Touch player itself, with a USB HDD hanging out the back of the Touch.
    Is the USB HDD powered, or does it draw its power from the Touch?

    It's powered Chris.

    I've tried what Gaz suggested, still keeps dropping LMS, and until I do a ' Start LMS server' again, the player disappears off my Ipeng device
