Default FS: Quad II Valve Amplifiers (S/N: 54244 & 54216)

    Hi all

For Sale: A pair of Quad II Valve Amplifiers

    S/N: 54244 & 54216

Both amplifiers have been restored and tested with identical sets of new resistors and capacitors to the exact original Quad II specification. I used top quality Jensen capacitors (type 142025) for the KT66 output valves.

Both amps come with 3 core power leads properly earthed to the chassis.

And they both come with a full compliment of vintage valves. The original Marconi / GEC KT66 valves are perfectly stable within the demanding Quad II circuit.

Lovely examples, I'm only selling because I've had to give up the hobby.

    £725

Shipping to UK is £20. Or I am in Surrey, 5 mins from J11 of the M25.

Compared to most I see for sale these are a very fair price.

    Thanks Lawrence.

I think what's nice about my Quads is you're not only getting fully restored (and safe) amps but, more importantly, running at original specification. You don't see that much these days, there are some component values within the circuit that can be quite awkward to find cheaply. For many years Quad themselves were fudging the service repairs of their legacy amps by altering the circuit. I wanted exact specification when I got these amps because of the vintage speakers I used to use which is why I decided to service them myself. My work was overseen and tested by AmpRegen, who is an expert on the Quad II.
