Default FOR Sale: Transcendent Mini Beast Class A OTL Amp kit

I bought this well regarded Transcendent Audio Mini Beast kit a few years ago intending to assemble it for use with my Klipsch la Scalas which apparently love OTLs. I never got round to it and I am will be selling the La Scalas so the Mini Beast amp kit is now for sale. Recommended to be used with speakers with at least 90dB sesnsitivity.

    Information here: http://www.transcendentsound.com/Mini_Beast.html

I would like what I paid for it (around £500 if I recall back in the day when the US dollar/sterling rate was more favourable) plus postage, although collection from central London or West Sussex would be easier as it is heavy.

The kit is without tubes which you can supply yourself - 2 x drivers 6H30pi and 6 x output EL509. Can be configured for 120v or 220-240v operation.
It retails in the US at US$849 (around £680) before import duties, VAT etc..

    Please PM me if interested.
    Thanks,
    Neil

i built the original EL509 based class AB Transcendent OTL amplifier and it has been brilliant.

Although this is a lower power design the performance is extremely good, I have heard a design that is very similar (read virtually an exact copy) to this from a Polish manufacturer.
It has a series capacitor for the output so there is no worry at all about speaker damage/OTL design.

Highly recommended, good luck with the sale

yes I will - they are very open with great dynamics but I need to reduce my speaker "collection" to make space
