Client-Promoe.jpgI am not a regular user of computer generated audio, but it is unrivaled in ease of calling up
the artist and pieces of music to play, so quite pleasant to use.

Like everyone I enjoy a player that sounds good, and looks good

My operating system is Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon, hardware Mintbox 1, Files - Flac

Anyway I stumbled across xmms2 within the Linux Mint Software downloads, and thought would give it a try.
It presents as a terminal based player, but is easily converted to have a graphics user interface.
So it is extremely light on resources and can be easily heard to sound much better as a result.

If you want to try it download xmms2 from Software Manager - this is the main package as a terminal player
next quit Software Manager open synaptic package manager and download XMMS2 - all plug-ins, mark it for installation
then find promoe and similarly mark it for installation, and apply updates. From main menu find promoe
open it and go to the far right of the small player that opens, a small icon looking like a page of writing
then opens a playlist that stacks under the main player, and from there you can add to playlist. The add
feature is also part of the main player on one of the many icons.

Enjoy !
