    I'm David.

    Default Hello Everyone!

Hi, I'm AD Audio, new to this Forum. I post on other Fora under the name Juancho so some will know me from there. I've been running an upgrade, repair and new build service for several years now, mainly trading by word of mouth. You can see completed projects, recommendations and endorsements on my Website https://adaudioconsultants.wordpress.com.

As well as the upgrade service I am now bringing to market a new preamp and some KT120 mono blocks. I have built several preamps over the years, each time trying to outdo the best of the equipment I've been servicing or upgrading which has included EAR, ARC, and Conrad Johnson among well known brands. I believe I have finally come up with a preamp that is absolutely top of the league and will be available at a reasonable price-indeed very reasonable given its performance. It will be available in a smaller version of the case I use for my NOS Dac builds.

The pre has excellent gain, and importantly runs ultra quietly so it is easy to adjust for low or high gain variants. Initially, it will be available with two standard options: with /without remote control. Think round £1,050 for the non remote version.

The design goal for the KT120s was to match my Mastersound 845 mono blocks in both power and quality but at a much cheaper price (the Mastersounds cost £10k new......). Those goals have been achieved with a KT120 design with some unique features. These mono blocks deliver 50 watts Class A with switchable feedback. I use them without feedback, but some folk with strange speakers like the facility to switch in a small amount of feedback. Chassis are professionally built and engraved. Here are some pictures of the prototypes built by my colleague.

And my own system? Master Sound 845 Mono Blocks, a version of my own Dac fed by a Mac Mini, the latest prototype of my pre amp, and a pair of Wimslow Clones. I also have a 300b Stereo amp of which I've built and sold around 5 now in total.

I look forward to sharing the story of development and launch as this unfolds and participating fully in this Forum.
