Default Member's System Video Thread - Please Post A Video Of Yours!:)

I've decided its 2016 and phone cameras and cameras in general are now so good, even at low cost, that posting system videos is more fun than a set of static photos.

Because of the diversity of camera microphones, and quality thereof, no one should reach sonic verdicts on the capability if someone's system here. It's more about getting a general vibe of someone's setup and room. Obviously a nice mic helps, but it'd be great if you said what you shot the video with.

    Feel free to join in.

I've posted a few videos on the site, but this one is fun, as it shows quite clearly what an Apogee bass panel does. Look out for the right hand speaker's panel movements. The left does the same, but it is just a trick of the light angle that allows you to clearly see what happens on the right hand one.

Shot with a Sony RX-100 and its internal mics.

I luv a nice bit of Dub. I have posted vids on here using Bill Laswell. I think that we should all use the same track to see how it sounds on different systems. It is on Spotfy so I will post a vid soon

Nice system by the way. Some say that posting vids is pointless because of SQ probs etc. I disagree.

It isn't really intended to be a competition. A talk around various bits of a system, stating why you use the equipment, points of interest etc is equally fine, with no actual music being required.

Since many members will never meet up, I think it is just a way of getting a little closer to other members than forum posts allow.

Also, some kit owned by a lot of members is really quite esoteric. Any increased vibe factor that a video can return, where a 1000 words cannot, is also most welcome.

That said, if you want to post a video of the same track I did, no problem! No rules, anything goes

I didn't say anything about it being a competition? If you used the same track you might be able to discern differences in FR or whatever, or maybe not.

Well I think the best test for FR is to play the video against the actual track but rooms etc all come into it too. But the FR of anyone's mic will vary with phone and camera type. So it is all a bit moot.

Anyway, anyone is welcome to try. Give it a go Rob?

Got any links to your exisitng vids?
