    Default Super Tweeter Retrofit

Noticed an old thread about trying cheap Maplins super tweeters and wondered if anyone has had good results retrofitting them onto speakers to add a little "air" to the sound. I noticed that some piezo horns are very cheap and can be lashed up in parallel to existing tweeters to have ago.

Any thoughts or advice with previous experiences gratefully received!

    Regards

    Chris

I detest piezo tweeters. A 'supertweeter' is just a tweeter with an extended response. Many tweeters that are not specifically called supertweeters are suitable. Best not to wire additional tweeters in parallel. If you want to try something, why not buy a pair of cheap ribbon tweeters from a Chinese eBay seller and wire up with a series capacitor of small value.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
