    I see that PVC covered wire is much cheaper than PTFE. Is there a sonic difference?

    Probably not. PTFE is regarded as a better (and more fashionable) dielectric (insulator), but personally, I reckon it makes bugger all difference.
    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Generally, I prefer pure copper. I don't like plated copper, but I do have pure silver leads that sound rather good. Very revealing though.

    I'd agree with that. I find that silver plating does something to the sound which isn't there with pure copper. There's nothing wrong with pure silver either. Rather than say silver gives a sharper sound I'd prefer to say that copper sounds slightly warmer. Dare I say that in some systems you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference anyway.
