Default Tidal 1 month trial and iTunes rip-off

I can use Tidal on my OPPO BDP105D, so yesterday I decided to try it out with the 1 month trial. I signed up using my iPad. I have the OPPO App but got redirected to iTunes. They want to charge £25.99 subscription when the Tidal website says it's £19.99. It seems that if I'd used the Tidal interface on my OPPO I would be paying £6 less per month. Is this a Apple rip off or what? Am I missing something? At the end of the trial I will cancel and I hope I can re-sign using on the Tidal website.

It appears you can still use the app on iThings without resorting to paying iTunes.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Any one interested in a free tidal subscription should have a look at sandisk ultra fit usb flash drives, I bought a 32GB drive for £7.99 from PC World which came with a free 3 months subscription for Tidal, worth nearly £60.

Re my previous post concerning Tidal/Apple, I have cancelled the trial but Apple have noted that I still have Tidal on free trial until 20th October, at which point it will be stopped.
