I looked at some Elrogs for the SJS but went with the KR Audios in the end. Would be interested to hear your opinions on them especially if you've heard the KR's.
Next ones I'm going to try are the Western Electrics.

Not heard the KRs Chris, but by all accounts they are really great.
is it the reissue WEs or originals you fancy?
The Elrogs dont sound like the dictionary definition of a 300B to me?
Same organic open midrange, but the top and bottom are as good...its a very dynamic sounding "in the room" sound.

second set of Elrogs went pop, which was disappointing.
Ah well, time to move on.
From discussion here and elsewhere pulled the trigger on a matched pair of these for my power amp.
KR Audio 300B Balloon, by all accounts a pretty good set of power tubes.

But KR 211s look flipping fantastic in the hand, FWIW. Not that I own any.
Where did you source them from?
ELROG seem to have had problems ever since they began. Always reading about people who have had issues with them. Shame.
