    Default USB cable recommendations

Looking for some advice-not a shite debate on all cables sounding the same!!!

I moved through the belkin/cheapo to a supra and then laterally a Furutech formula 2.

Brian of this parish made me up a cable that trounced everything I had tried-all well and fine till somebody trashed it and a usb socket on the laptop...

Back to the Furutech....it aint quite as good.

Im wedded to 5m in length a-b cable.

Real experience/recommendations appreciated ---will spend a couple of hundred quid if need be.

Furutec gt2 is the front runner but at £190 a bit salty!!!!

5m is the limit for usb, have you thought about a repeater?

If you dont mind fixing it again that would be greatly appreciated-new piece of vinyl to your choosing as a labour charge sound about right?

    What does a repeater do?

It's hand made with 4 separate coax cables for feed and return ( and not very easy to assemble ) .

In comparison to all the others I have tried it has a level of detail resolution and soundstaging that is unsurpassed. Tiny detail like the granular quality to vocals or the decay of piano notes is only really appreciated when you slot a mainstream cable back in.

The sound has lost that vibrant human quality...just less enjoyable and flat.
