Well noticed, it is one of the many albums my father gave me recently.

Love those amps, used to have an exposure integrated a while ago- most 'fun' sound i think i've had! Bargains for what they go for now as well...

Paul my friend, you have to put the sponge bungs in sideways

We discussed the LP12's upgrading fate ages ago. I'm almost inclined to suggest leaving one as old as this reasonably alone, as it may have a future resale charm in original condition. Some of the fixing nuts may need a *gentle* tighten though, as the wooden mounting blocks will shrink or compress with age.

For the cost of a major LP12 dealer overhaul, you could buy an SL1200/1210 in good used nick. I think that's where I would go in the future myself.....

    Hey Dave,

Not sure about the sponge bungs LOL ... Still find the sound a little too thin for my liking ... maybe if I can get myself a sub at sometime, I'll consider it ...

Not sure I'll bother doing anything with the LP12, like the sound at the moment and although I have quite a lot of Vinyl now, I have a lot more CD's and Digtial recordings now ... and they're more modern LOL.

Reference the speakers, the wife wants me to change them in the next couple of years so I was considering looking at Martin Logan Vantage or PMC OB1's ... although I really love the sound of the ES14's as you well know

Yeah Mike, the combo works so well and the addition of the other Exposure XVIII to biamp the speakers, made a massive difference ... so much better control of the bass !

I would echo Dave's advice. Keep your LP12 as is and enjoy its unique 'charm'. Quite simply, 'upgrading it' (significant use of inverted commas there) is like locking the stable door long after the horse has bolted...
