I remain confused. What was the decision?

1 To negotiate a better deal and stay in (Boris)
2 to get out completely and lose vital passporting for financial services (nobody currently sponsoring)
3 to leave the EU but stay in the common market (eea) so instead of us paying to be a major influence in Brussels who then tell us what to do we now pay more to have no say in what Brussels tell us todo

It's early days, but most of the team actually likely to lead the negotiations appear to be saying 3

Was that what you voted for?

There isn't going to be an EU - only us and The Germans were paying for it. We have taken the ball and gone home. It will now unravel.

I sincerely hope you are wrong. That would almost certainly lead to another devastating war within 20 years - probably much sooner. At least we now get to find out how little you understand about how the world works. Hang up your "business as usual" notice. It won't happen

Agree can't see Germany and France propping everyone up. Remain campaign flawed. The only one using non scaremongering tactics was Nicola Sturgeon.

What really strikes me is that some don't see how the UK has already been privileged in the UE (currency, borders, foreign policy) and now expecting to continue having that just without formal obligations when in an union.

Not sure you understand what LEAVE means in a full glory, maybe some of the divorced here can share an experience or two.

British farming, and the British fishing industry has been ruined due to joining the EU, or as it was called then the EEC.

And then there was the financial disaster of black Wednesday.

Spain has done particularly well out of EU membership though....
