Default Thorens MM008 Anyone tried it?

Has anyone tried the Thorens MM-008? If so I would welcome thoughts/ impressions, or recommendations for an alternative for low output MC cartridge - Benz Micro Gold specifically at this price point i.e. around £200. Cheers. Nick

Do you specifically need the ADC function to digitise vinyl records for digital storage? This is the crux of the matter. If not then I would suggest that the presence of the ADC at this price is likely to hugely compromise the overall performance of the phono stage.

Hi, thanks and no - no need for the ADC function but there is a version without this.

If you don't need the ADC then may I suggest that the Arkless 640P from my good self would be ideally suited to your needs and would, all in, be about £250. The basic version is £185 but you need to obtain a donor Cambridge Audio 640P or 651p for conversion. There are no magazine reviews etc of it but plenty on-line.
