i have to be honest and say that I've moved away from sorbothane and prefer the results just with the deck standing on its birch ply feet and then a hard rubber footer, this then stands on the chopping board. I have nothing sitting under chopping board. This seems to work quite well. I got rid of the sorbothane as I didn't think it did anything to the deck, it might work for yours however.Originally Posted by brian2957

I forgot the Lenco sits on sprung base so Sorbothane might not be beneficial. Works great under high mass unspring turntables. I have a slight issue with motor noise/ vibration at the moment and need to isolate it. I know how to do it but need the job doing with a table saw!

Jim, I'd agree with you on high mass as this is how sorbothane works. What issues are you having with Lenco?

Lenco ok Andy, it's my VPI motor that is giving me issue. It is completely separate from the TT but sits on the same platform (compact laminate) and it buzzes a bit so need to cut a separate bit out of the compact laminate so it is totally separate.About 60p, seriously, it's on me.

I may well try it. Problem I have with the motor is it sits on same board as TT so needs to be totally separate. Bamboo board maybe easier to cut!Could I recommend a bamboo chopping board

Well tonearm mount made, now waiting for my drill. Why? Well I've been ripping old some wardrobes in my new clinic and my old workhorse drill has been required. Hopefully tomorrow night should signfy the beginnings of the latest phase of development (EVIL LAUGH), ma ha ha ha ha!
