So in the interests of a bit of personal experimentation I've bought the following to try.
1. A reso-mat platter matt.
2. 4 inexpensive sorbothane pods (to sit under the standard feet).
I must admit the reso matt thing was not exactly what I was expecting (it's a thin sheet with raised bumps that sits on the existing platter). On top of this I've sat a cork mat as well as a final record "interface".
I guess my main gripe with the deck as standard is that it sounds a bit muddy sounding, now with both the reso mat and sorbothane pods there's a deffinate improvement in that respect, there's a but more clarity and texture to everything, not amazing amounts but still it's there.
I'm still using the stanton cart it came with but in the near future as funds allow this will be replaced with an at150 so that should then provide a real lift in performance.
Edit - I've just noticed I should really have the cork mat below the resort mat. Will give me something to try tomorrow at leadt☺
