Clarkson reminds me of the cantankerous git who lives over the road. He thinks he's king of the street. Everyone else thinks he's a numpty.

    I won't be watching him.

actual car review shows bore the arse off me. May as well read a magazine if you want the review as otherwise its just video of someone driving. The beuaty of top gear was the 3 blokes having a laugh. It was an entertainment show, not a review one.

Ill be watching the new show, well downloading it as im not paying for amazon prime, and if its the same thing as before, 3 blokes that get on well together, have a laugh and entertain then ill enjoy it.

The new top gear wont be the same for me as firstly im not a fan of chris evans anyway. Secondly it seems to have far too many presenters which means the chemistry between them will be all over the place which was why i found 5th gear boring as hell and thirdly they made the ridiculous decision to have matt le blanc and sabine in it.

Good point, Keith, and one that I agree with. As with most things, however, it's a question of balance. I quite like a 'serious review' amongst all the madcap shit!

Must admit I'm not totally adverse to the idea of the new programme, but we live in the middle of nowhere and have ridiculously slow broadband speed, plus I really can't be bothered with downloading stuff to my computer and sitting watching it on a puny 19" monitor.

Consequently, if it isn't on Freesat, I'm not watching it!

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Top Gear used to be informative and if my decision of a car was met by derision then so be it. I'd rather review a car myself and make my own mind up. Not have Clarkson tell me otherwise. In fact, most of the cars I've owned Clarkson hated and I loved every one. I'm really quite proud of that fact.

I like to know more about what engineering has gone in to cars, not to watch Clarkson sling it around a track and act like 14 year old.

I like James May, he's cool as he likes to go in to things whilst Hammond is just Clarksons lapdog.

    But that's my opinion... lol.

Then top gear clearly isnt the show for you to get that info. Im confused by people over the last ten years, (not necessarily you but ive seen it so many times), that watch top gear and complain it isnt the show they want it to be. If i dont like a show i dont tend to watch it anymore.
