the early ones have a black painted baffle board,yours are veneered to match the cabinets,also the mid driver was updated,very late ones have a bigger dust cap to the woofer.

I've had Monitor Gold Chatsworths, HPD Cheviots, HPD Devons, HPD Eatons (five pairs), System 1000, System 800 (four pairs), System 600 (two pairs), DC1000, i6, DC6i (crap).
Currently own Ascots and Cheviot Mk.II 3128, which are by far the best that have been on my system, although the Eaton is lovely.

The size of these things I could always use the cabs as a coffin
