    Default I have mixed it up !

    Today I set up my

    Ram 400's
    Changed the Shelter 5000 for the Goldring Erioca L
    Black rhodium cables
    John Wood Valve amp
    Croft Pre
    Ortofon SUT
    and 240 volts up its bottom

    Currently listening 2 TFF again

    I'm familiar with the lovely Goldring - how does it compare to the Shelter?

    The Shelter is a more clinical and accurately detailed sound as opposed to the Eroica that has very slightly warmer presentation sound , I like them both

    That's a big compliment to the Eroica Al.

    I have one as well. It's not the last word in 'polished presentation', but very musical and enjoyable. There's a decent happy vibrancy and honesty about it.

    Default I have mixed it up !

    An old friend recently made reference on here to now having a "simpler system" now . As I have some knowledge of his previous kit which has included SME 20, Koetsu Urushi, Krell, Audio Research, B&W, Wilson etc it would be good to know what the system is now. As I often have fond memories of earlier systems !
