Default 2nd deck to go with/compliment my Techie

Most people in the office have the day off today, so it's a bit slow.
This has given me time to think about getting a second deck that is a bit different from a SL1200.

I don't want to spend loads on one, and will be keeping it pretty standard.
    I spotted a restored Lenco L75 for €180 locally.

Any other recommendations for cheap but good decks?
Only criteria is that it has to sound good and should not need any modifications to achieve this.
I don't really want another direct drive, as I want to try another flavour.

Michell Focus. The odd decent one crops up at a sane price now and then. They sound, look very nice and you can get parts for them.

Or. Toshiba SR-370 as I use. Hefty DD unit with great timing and solidity to the sound. Prices still surprisingly sensible. Vastly underrated!

    A Toshiba SR-370:

    Mine actually.

Heavy beast. Weighs half as much again as a Techie. Normally comes with an SME arm cutout.

Can occasionally be found for under £100!

I had a look for one, but none local.
It's also direct drive, and I quite fancy a different flavour.

"Getting into HiFi" meant wanting A RECORD PLAYER that made those records sound the best. Not playing with record players and other bits for its own sake.

It looks a real purdy one. I would be astonished if you are not disappointed with it in stock form. The mat and arm will be the main issues. I used to have one before I got my PT and it was a fine, well built, solid reliable, competent somewhat veiled and unengaging deck. Starting from nothing, looking to get a first record player, I would bite their hand off.

But I would think your Technics setup is going to be so much more revealing. It will be like putting thick socks over your speakers.

And what is Nat going to say when I tell her...

Has the Hana SL turned up yet Kevin? I am most interested in your assessment of this cartridge compared to the At33PTGii.
