Nice Marantz kit there, love the vintage tape deck.
Had an SD1015 and SD1030 back in the day, wish I'd kept them!

I bought that tape deck new in 1984, it's had a couple of services and one new head and still sounds great although rarely used these days. I had a Nakamichi BX300 years ago but it didn't sound any better than old faithful Marantz. Next step is a good phono stage, the Marantz amp's built in one isn't bad but having tested a couple of external units I know it could be better.

A lot of very decent Phono stages around for relatively little these days. Certain to make an improvement with your system I would think.

Lovely system, and I do like the way the Linn matches the marantz.

I tried Jamie's Nakamichi CA5 pre amp and a Firebottle and was impressed by both, also looking at a Graham Slee unit. I have around £400 to spend on one so should find something. I only recently bought the Ortofon so still getting used to that, a major improvement on the Denon DL110 I had before.

You could probably pick up a second hand ERA Gold V + PSU1 for a bit less than that. They are very nice.
