I've never heard any evidence of interconnect burn in and I have made up identical pairs in the past. In some parts of the industry the idea is taken very much as a given though. The newer idea is that interconnects also take a time to settle after being changed.....

I don't know, that's why I'm asking.
100% stake your life on it? Balance of probability, or what?
Would a civilian you pulled in of the street spot the difference?

"Burn-In" is that like a Bake-off? But an indoor Wickerman of forum members?
Always thought burn in was when a load of arsonists got together in a house and had a party

speakers yes, I can hear how our brand new speakers getting better and better. And is not just me as my missus saying same.
Rest, I am not sure and is hard to believe that anything can change in electronics by running it for some time. If so than there would be something wrong in it

Can't say I've ever noticed it. Any perceived difference (for better or worse) is probably down to my mood/level of alcohol as much as anything else.
Do cryo cables burn in more noticeably? You know, cold then hot as it were.
Anyway, which end burns in first?
Can you burn in 'directional' cables the wrong way round?
What happens if you use a directional cable 'correctly' and extend it using a simliar cable the wrong way round?
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
