    Default Bluebell Audio, Scotland

Has anyone here heard anything from Phil of late?

I had been speaking to him for a while about a pair of KT88 monoblocks and had sent the cash some months ago. We had since discussed the final tweaks of the design but neither of us were in any great rush to sort it out.

He has gone quiet on the phone and email. It's a little worrying as last time we spoke he mentioned a hospital appointment.

    I do hope he's alright....

    Hi Thommy,

I've not even heard of Bluebell Audio, never mind heard from them... Hopefully someone else can help, and that both Phil and your cash are safe. Anyway, I've moved the thread into Blank Canvas, to give it more prominence.

Phil is probably one of THE leading hifi tube amp experts anywhere.

I am not concerned about the cash, far more about him as we are practically family considering the amount of time he has spent talking to me this past year!

Fair enough, but he's a new one on me.

Indeed. Let's hope he's ok, and hopefully someone who knows the score, in that respect, will come forward.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Think someone across on PFM had an amp built by Bluebell. The amp was very highly praised if I remember correctly. I have also seen mention of them on Nicks (Lurchers) forum.

I spoke with Phil twice this week and have received a delivery this morning. Hopefully you can get your amp sorted soon.
