    Default LPs in Sainsbury's

popped into Sainsbury's for a few things on my way home from work and a bit shocked to see they are selling some vinyl. Only about 12 titles which is a bit odd and difficult to see how it's worthwhile. Adele 25, Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, led Zep 2, Rumours and a few others I can't remember. Hoping there might be a couple sold off very cheap at some point, I don't have Hunky Dory.

Vinyl in Sainsbury's. The world gets stranger with every passing day.

Maybe they are giving it a go to see how it does? We could end up with a whole proper record departments in the supermarkets.

But 'Led Zep 2' - can't let the kids hear that, it will ruin them for all the new stuff.

they sold some very plastic looking turntables at Christmas which probably won't help with creating a market.

Interesting, but I suspect it'll only be available in a small amount of selected stores. It was the same a while back with Tesco. I went down to the huge 'Extra' store here in Wrexham, saw no such LPs, and asked at customer service. They didn't have a clue what I was talking about...

I suspect it'll be the same story here in Sainsbury's... However, I shall find out and report back.

    Ah, cheers, Roy

    Stoke's on the list, Martin!

For my nearest branch, I'd have to go to Nantwich or the Wirral...

might be going mad, got 2 and 4, really thought it was 2 will have to check. Didn't see Led Zep or Nevermind both of which would be tempting as I don't have them - they are not showing Hunky Dory which was definitely there (unless I have really lost it) so I might not be going mad. If it is Led Zep 2 it is the only one I noticed on 180g
