    1967 is a watershed time. I doubt it's coincidence that musicians had started experimenting with LSD around then. Nobody would have understood psychedelic music before then. Just as many now don't anymore.

    Not much bothered about the 'Stones pre 'Beggar's Banquet'.

    Not much bothered about the Beatles at all. Not got any of their records.

    You really should 'educate yourself' and get into classical music. In that respect, 1967 is considerably modern!

    Also, sonically, some of the best recordings ever produced on vinyl, were done in the late 50s - jazz music in particular.

    Can't get into classical. I've tried. I did mention that jazz, Sinatra and big band were my exceptions to the 1967 thing.
