What was the larder is now called the Pantry since the wife found the nameplatealthough we do use it to store food and what was originally the butlers or glass pantry is now or utility room. Kitchen is all free standing with big pitch pine dressers

No, otherwise I would have known what they were. Think I might need them now: as a child I had to have a cobbler fit 'wedge' heels to prevent me growing up with 'knock knees'. The only thing similar would have been the leather football studs nailed onto my leather football boots. Used to like making sparks off the nails by 'scuffing' along in the school cloister on the way back to the changing room.
