So here is a little transformation of the old Philips CD753 with TDA1549 DAC
I did not like the main power cable going directly into the player so I decided to fit IEC connector with little switch
Before
After
Internal fuse is bypassed
And as I needed to cut into the main cover and chassis I ended to respray the whole init
Thank you everyone for suggestions and especially to Richard @lovejoy for the informative post and link which leads me into this player
That is just a little simple modification for now. I am not sure if I going to modify any internal electronics or just leave it as it is now.
I would like to ask moderators or @Marco if this post can be moved/copied into my first OP post here please as I can not edit the 1st one anymore? Thank you

Anyone can suggest cheap replacement for transformer in this player? maybe a toroid transformer? This original making noticeable noise when music is off and its in stand by mode.
I did fitted IEC plug with mains switch but sometimes I am just too lazy to turn it OFF at the back so I would like to leave it in stand by mode. But because of that bloody noise, I can not. It drives me crazy
