No room for "The Zutons"? And then there is Warren Zevon, and possibly Joe Zawinul.

I have a couple of Zutons albums, but they're on CD, so strictly speaking not neighbours. Same with Vangelis. No Zevon or Zawinul on these shelves, never going to match your tastes for eclecticism (is that a word?)

There are many music group and performers enjoyed by Members here, that I would file under 'ZZZZ' (along with the test records)!

There are many I've never heard of let alone heard.

There's a lot of music out there.

More than enough to see us out, even if there was no more 'new' music made.

    There pretty much isn't AFAIC.

As a very generous concession I sometimes let the kiddies at work listen to Capitol. Diabolically bad or instantly forgettable, that's all it is.

Rather like much of the '80s and '90s. I call it 'ephemeral rock'. I bought some of it: The Damned; INXS; Bow Wow Wow, etc., but very quickly tired of it and gave the LPs away.

I find a lot to like about the 80s. Albums from Tears For fears, Peter Gabriel, The The, Joe Jackson, Talk talk, Dire Straits, The Fixx, XTC, there will be several others. Then the late 80s/ early 90s kicked off with Happy Mondays, Stone Roses, and EDM outfits like The Prodigy, The Orb, Underworld, Faithless, Orbital, Massive Attack.

For me it all went downhill by the late 90s, and not much from there onwards interests me. But although I'm pretty much sorted as far as the above bands are concerned, there's plenty from the 70s which passed me by. And that should keep me busy for years to come
