Hi grant I have a ROTEL rp-3000, pioneer sx-590 receiver,& wharfdale e-30 speakers.
Not a expensive setup but sounds good to my untrained ears

No reason why it shouldn't Good deck, and receiver, although only 20 watts or so, your speakers are nice and sensitive so will go plenty loud... Quite fond of the rotel deck, and all older rotel stuff.
