Oh yes. Aside from the experiment which gave rise to my initial thread where I fed up direct to power amps I use my cca with an external DAC. Only then does a comparison with a Pi become meaningful, using the same sources of course

Grant, you can find a RP stream on the tunein app and cast that. Sadly not 320k but listenable.

this thunderstorm, although gone up a bit in price since I bought it fairly recently, is superb if you have an ipad 4
...sound quality nearfield is astonishing for its size.

I got paradise radio casting through tunein radio thanks.. Currently listening to it in fact.. Quality it decent.not as nice an interface as using the paradise app though. I did read that they have been trying to incorporate it into their own app but have not got it working successfully...was supposedly in a beta work.
