    Hi all,

I just picked one of these up from a charity shop for the princely sum of £4.99, assuming it runs is this turntable any good and is there anything in particular that tends to go wrong with them that I should be checking for?

    Ta,
    Phil

That was my first deck when trying to get into hifi. It was pretty good too. Mine was matched with an AT95E cartridge.

But not as good. I've recently rebuilt one and the main bearing is no great shakes compared to the Pioneer. The platter is pretty light and was a bit warped on this one. Seems to sound OK though.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
