What level of resolution ?

They are in the same musical area but the beat is different. Some tracks on it are funk and some are disco is what i'd say, having given it another listen.

Funk as a musical feel or even emotion(?) - not funk as a music genre.

Funk is part of and within the Disco genre in my opinion.

Funk is a feel, an attitude.
Deep Purple was a very funky band, as are Aerosmith. Neither band could be termed as "funk bands".
Funk has sweet FA to do with genres.
