Lovely looking system - I am especially jealous of the Nak power amp and Technics DAC. They really do look fab.
When I had Yam 1000M speakers I was advised to have them nearer the rear wall. Have you tried that type of setup?

I tried them that way and I can see why people like it. I prefer the more open sound that a free space provides. The Nakamichi drives them beautifully and is a very rare combination with its matching preamp.
The technics is a phenomenal dac, the first that has convinced me that expensive dacs can provide more than marginal improvements.

Yes, because it's a 'proper' one, made in an era when such things were superbly engineered to produce the best possible sound [which sadly these days with digital kit is rarely the case]
