    I'm Allen.

Default Tannoy Cheviots rebuilt by Lockwood Audio

As you know I have a pair of these

    They looked like this
Untitled by Allen Wells, on Flickr

I attempted 2 re foam them but gave up ( its not easy ) They then sat around for 3 years :roll eyes: on the 2 do list

Eventually I decided its time 2 sort them out so on advice from Paul RFC They were sent 2 Lockwood Audio

And boy did they do a job or what , the returned looking virtually new

Very please with the service , I consider this 2 be great value for money rebuild

    They now look like this

They will be even better after a few hours of /abuse/ running in
SBT/Chromecast/TEAC T1 into TEAC D-T1 DAC or olde-worlde Rega Planar 2 controlled by Rotel RC850 into HH S500D or DACT Passive Pre into Mullard 5-20 monos. Then into Tannoy Cheviots and a Wharfdale sub. All connected by colourful cables.

They look absolutely mint. Great that quality old gear like this just keeps on going, 30 years, a bit of work, then another 30 years.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

    40 years Martin.

I bet the date on the speakers is around 1976.

Mine are the next series and are marked 1978.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
