Got a new 5mm version of this (Tenuto Two?) on the way. Weighs about 2kg, according to Guy. Hope to hear what you heard.

Yes, but we're both in Yorkshire, so how different can they be? Your system is specified quite a bit higher than mine (eyeing that Pheonix speed controller though) so perhaps you're getting more out of it all than I will. But, nothing ventured...

Just picked one of these new mats up off Guy at Puresound
I must say I didn't expect much and thought it would end up as a bit of an extravagant buy
Which I would move on... as they are not cheap!

Well, this gunmetal mat sure does lift everything!!
Bass lines more defined, but deep, retains feeling and timbre, mids are lush with detail and the tops are incredible but not overbearing or hard. Gives some real separation between instruments.

    Very impressive indeed.
Especially with the SPU, as it gives it a slight lift in dynamic presentation, whilst retaining the SPU signature

A bit more 'Hifi' but retains everything I love about my set up. Puts a bit more pace into the SME3012 12" arm.
    Impressive...I think it stays!

Oh it looks fricking delicious too !

I do really like the sound of the 401 with the original mat for its neautral sound, but I love you can tweek the overall presentation with this mat. TBH I worried about the price before purchasing it, but it's a relatively inexpensive big tweek
    Given what it can do.

Yes Guy confirmed mine was the last one in the country for about a year!
    naaa, just joshing!
Mine was a slight second, so Guy kindly let me buy it. The next batch is imminent for release.
    It's worth the wait!
