Default The Twitter experiment put this Thorens at #2 out of 334,000 on Google in < 8 hrs!

Re the Thorens advert promoted by piggy-backing on our Twitter feed, I took a look just now on Google to see if this ad had yet appeared and yes indeed it has – straight in (as of 16:11 today) at position #2 out of 334,000 results. Not bad for a free and not time-consuming experiment.

Obviously a great Google ranking is no guarantee that the item will sell, but this sort of exposure can’t do any harm.

Interesting to see if anyone joins up to buy one of them...and see if it causes you any more traffic.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Interesting indeed. Re traffic, if site visits increase then yes we'd like that but our primary objective – in this instance – is to help a few private exhibitors.

Default F/S.... JMlabs/Focal Prodige speakers - straight in at #1 on Google

Well, that's it for today. The AoS advert "F/S.... JMlabs/Focal Prodige speakers" has via our Twitter promotion come in at #1 out of 102,000 (arguably irrelevant other posts) on Google with, frankly, negligible effort on our part.

    https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=FS...B#q=FS+Prodige

Positioning is one thing; selling is something else. The relationship is ambiguous and as far as we can see beyond anyone's control.

    Epilogue:

    1. Part one of the litmus test has been passed; two Google positions @ #1 plus one @ #2 for no cost and minimal effort
    2. Part two is if sales result from this experiment
    3. Here in the AN&MR editorial office, we're pleased. We've nothing of further value to add at this point other than we thank those that have participated and helped achieve the proof of concept. The free offer to any AoS private exhibitor (at a maximum of three ads per day five days a week) remains in place for the foreseeable future.

    Thanks again

    The folks at AN&MR
