It does look somewhat ugly and if I were to buy one of these it would need a cage of some sort. Lack of funds won't permit me such an extravagance so I'll just have to stick with my much loved TS Grounded Grid preamp

Ali Tait has just built one of their amps from a kit, but the one linked but an OTL version ( forgive me I've got the terminology wrong I know nought about valve amps as I'm under 60 lol ).
Sounded excellent when I was at his place last week, 4w !!
But boy did it kick some with his open baffles

Yes have built the Mini Beast, kit bought from a member of this parish. Very good it is too.
Will post up a thread of the build when I get a chance.
