Most interesting indeed... If the 10.3 Wand sounds as good as I suspect it will, I think that we could have another potential 'giant-killer' on our hands - and perhaps a new 'de-facto standard' tonearm for the Technics.

I probably missed it, but did anyone catch the price?
    Probably Marco.

I'm mostly interested in the Plus version which includes an armlift and that costs about 30% more but still good value. The Classic version wouldn't be wife/daughter friendly enough in my household. I really like the idea of a 10.3 inch arm on the Techy.

I found some needledrop comparisions with the stock arm on another forum. Big improvement and I think that's with the 9.5" version of the arm!

Here's the differences between classic and plus versions - latter damped cueing mechanism and damped arm tube is the retail only version

Intriguing but I'm not in a position to get one to try.......(for now)

It's all very interesting indeed, and seems to be a very 'sorted' product.

There's no doubt whatsoever that if I were in the market now for a tonearm for the Technics, the 10.3 Wand is the one I'd go for. If I weren't so delighted with the sound I'm getting from my Ortofon (and wanted to facilitate an SPU), I could well be tempted!

The needledrop on the SH form also sounds very good, and I presume an otherwise stock Technics T/T was used to produce the recording? Also, I didn't see any mention of what cartridge was used for the test.

Dave, I think it's time to get your wallet out!

I like the design of the Wand arm very much. In the past there have been a few rough edges so hopefully they have been resolved now.

I verified with the poster at SH forum that the table is bone stock and the only mod is the arm (9 inch version). He also let know that he was using a Denon 301mk2 cartridge in those flac files.

I think this is the direction I'm going to go.

I ordered The Wand Plus 10.3 inch and it's being prepared now. I'm not planning on installing it though until I get my bearing and platter and that might be a few weeks yet. When I do, I'll snap a bunch of pictures of everything and post about it.
