Default you show me yours and errrrrr

anyone in or within a reasonable driving distance of preston fancy a get together at mine, i'd like to place a very small emphasis on diy kit, but to be honest anything good is always welcome.

turntables are brought at your own risk, my floor isn't the most solid and i've had tonearms skating across the disc before so you have been warned.

i'm thinking sat 31st october if that's not too short notice but am prepared to be flexible, numbers i think should be limited to five or six plus me purely for comfort, say from 12:00 till 18:00.

i will lay on some man food e.g. chilli, curry or similar and plenty of coffee/soft drinks, i don't expect anyone to drink and drive home, although i'm not being preachy, i leave it to you.

i also expect you'll want to bring your own tunes and that's fine by me

so as the title says you show me yours and i'll show you mine, hell if you want you can even listen to it.

    p.m for details and arrangements.

    cheers
    steve

I think you'd like his speakers, and you could take your amp along if it's not sold by then....

    Sounds good to me Steve.

I could bring home brew Audio Nirvana open baffles for comparison.
Also homebrew EL34 SE tube amp, and DAC.

ok so that's two plus me so still room for a couple more, come on now don't be shy, you know you want to.

hopefully by then i'll have a wad valve amp in my system, which common agreement seems to be that it will be a match made in heaven with diy full range speakers of 98+db sensitivity.

so come on great system, great tunes, man food, and hifi chat, what a great way to spend a couple of hours.

    cheers

i've decided to cancel this saturday's get together due to a distinct lack of interest, apologies to those who put their names down, i've pm'd you. i'll try and arrange something for the new year, hopefully giving people's wallets chance to recover from christmas.

sorry to those who showed interest.
