    Default The Current Set up

    Hi all,

    Thought id do a new topic for my current bedroom set up, I have since moved the speakers off the rack cabinets.

    I dont seem to have many good Pictures of it set up, il take a couple over the next few days and

    Currently using the following,

    Amps:

    Crown DC300A x 2

    MPA-100 (not wired to anything yet!)

    Pre Amp
    Cambridge audio C500

    CD player is a Sony L3
    Minidisc is sony (can't recall model)
    Tuner is sony (can't recall model)
    Cassete Player is a Denon DRM 555

    Turntables i currently use are either a

    Garrard dd132 with Ortotfon VMS
    Technics SL-B2
    NAD 5120

    Speakers

    JBL Studio Monitor 4412
    KEF KK4

    The Clock is a Wharton Studio Broadcast one.

    I also have my old AV amp sat in the end rack along with audio inputs to connect my phone or mac to listen to music, along with DVD player and xbox 360

    Nice Joe. What's the Realistic component? (Tandy?) just VU meters? Have used twin Crown XLS1500s in bridged mode quite successfully (1050 wpc ).

    Its my old amp thats not wired up to anything now, just fills the gap quite nicley until i find something better to fit in there!

    When i picked the JBL's up the chap did IT clearances, he had a huge warehouse full of old IT equipment and in the corner was the racks and he very kindly gave me them, they came out the Met Office and are designed to be stacked on top of each other, i did have it set up like this for a while but decided to split them in 3 add the castors and in my opinion they look better like this.

    They are very deep units, each one has a door on the side to access inside the racks. very solid built but not sure who manufactured them.

    I love the utilitarian looks of this rig and will bet it sounds amazing.
