Bloody Hell, that's why the price of copper went up!
Main system : VPI Scout 1.1 / JMW 9T / 2M Black / Croft 25R+ / Croft 7 / Heco Celan GT 702

Now *THAT* is a proper CD player!! It acts as a reference to my comments here about such matters: http://theartofsound.net/forum/showt...D-Player/page7
The plastic shit that they make these days, posing as 'CD players', or Blu-Ray/DVD players acting as CD players, simply CANNOT compete sonically with machines of the calibre of that Pioneer
Well done, Mike. Use it and treasure it accordingly!
Marco.

I'm Andrew.
Tasty. Solid. Nice. Quality.
Bloody brilliant, I do love a big capacitor or twenty lol
What's that thing weigh about 30kg?
yeah, it's a healthy 44lbs, a good weighty bit of kit!
doesn't sound quite as good as my much more modern UFO, but in the build quality stakes, it thrashes it!
seems the Chinese of today are still no match for the Japanese of yesterday when it comes to quality hifi!
Wow! Your taking CD to the final frontier
Never seen anything like it? I'm vinyl or DSD at the mo but I do love slipping the odd Cd for old times sake
trying to get into this DSD, streaming, whatever you call it, currently listening to an (standby for THE most longwinded name......)
Asus Xonar Essence One USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier MUSES Edition.....
it's only being fed by my mac mini via optical out at the mo, but sounds very good indeed.
once my PD95 comes back from having its new laser aligned properly, i'll try that through it too
still don't understand how i can listen to higher than CD quality audio though, afraid it goes waaaaaaaaay over my head!
anyone know of an idiots guide?!
