Just got System Restore back on screen typing RSTRUI in search. Handy.
    So just shortcut missing perhaps.

Yes, tired CMOS cell and/ or dodgy RAM can do that.

Not a disaster, new version of Linux Mint is out, 17.3, just updated installation of 17.2 to 17.3. All went OK, took about 15 min.

It's easy to do through update manager.

    Merry Christmas Paul.

Windows 10 was brought into this world because we need something to hate!

Just to be the hated bastard son of 8.0 that it is!

It seems to be working OK when pre-installed on new computers as far as I can see. Lots of aggro on upgrades from older Windows editions I gather. There have been endless complaints.

I see microsoft have upped the push on folk getting win 10 by classifying it as a recommended update and its now being downloaded to pretty much everyone.. There a few new codes to watch out for too.... Going to be doing more investigatio!s re this but apparently they are doing it to buisness pcs too

They'll probably tell W10 to install itself next.
