    You can still get those.

    I think I used a door bell vibrating contact system in series with a step up transformer that I wound, it was battery powered.

    Just a heads up for Mac users, Malwarebytes for Mac is out. MWB is a superb bit of kit with windows so should be tops for Macs too. More and more Macs are getting targetted.

    Tonight, a friend brought here her old Del 610 laptop. It was absolutely crawling with Win 7 on it.

    I tried to clean things up a bit, but to me it was stll excruciatingly slow.

    Decided to put Linux Mint on it, everything recognised, runs nicely, friend is delighted.

    Was certainly easier that re-installing Win 7, various drivers, Office etc.
