    I've spent quite a bit if time rendering 3D models with DirectX.

    Bit of a nightmare as there are many different 3D model formats and converting between them using PolyTrans (or other utilities which were usually worse) was always a pain, in the sense that what you'd get out was almost never right.

    Hours spent messing with models and C# (Managed DirectX). When the models were right the visuals on a screen the size of a normal lounge wall (projected) were absolutely stunning.

    Architectural flythroughs are great projected "real size", did a bit of that in a past life..
    Been dabbling again today, a few new ones.

    Have you done those in SolidWorks? if so then there is a sheet metal bolt on that allows you to create nets etc that are equally as applicable to strip heater formed acrylic.

    Work with Inventor Mark, though Solidworks is cool too.

    Luckily they are interchangeable, know anyone with manufacturing facilities for sheet metal and acrylic?
