Having read the thread where an AoS user uses a nail brush sold as a record cleaning brush (this one I believe http://www.hillbrush.com/Products/NA8.aspx?currency=EUR), it got me thinking of what brushes sold in normal shops, at non HiFi prices would be suitable.
I have recently picked up a 70mm natural bristle paint brush, which seems to do a fantastic job from the few times I have used it. On the second hand records I have used it on, it seems much quieter than before using a "HiFi" record cleaning brush.
I have also ordered a goats hair brush (used for horses faces AFAIK) for less than €10 delivered, so I wait to see what that does. I would have bought one of the above, but minimum order quantity is 12, so a bit excessive for my needs.
If the paint brush comes out on top, than I may treat myself to a 3" Purdy brush.
Does anybody have any suggestions of a brush that will do a good job, but won't damage the vinyl? Draft excluder strip on a block of wood seems like an interesting option, if I can find the right strips.
