Hi Tim, do you have any thoughs on elliminating the need to provide user/pass for NAS shares?
Its a pita as most NAS configurations allow guests read access on the shares.

    Hi,

Bumped moodeOS to version 1.1 dual-kernel, and using 4.4.30 for both Standard kernel and Advanced Audio kernel :-)

Default Moode, RPI, Kali Reclocler & DDDAC?

Planning on building a new DAC with RPI - Kali Reclocker and DDDAC (1794a)

Interested if anyone has a similar set up and if Kali works well with the Moode player.

I prefer Moode to Volumio and would love to have it working with the components I've listed. Over on DIY forum there are a couple of members successfully using RPI, Kali, DDDAC & Volumio so fingers crossed that Moode will also be a successful player with that combo

Thanks for the replies, that's very encouraging to hear (pardon the pun)

Will be 3-4 weeks before I get it all up and running but will be reporting back on how it sounds.

Please any help with Mo0de player 2.7 release and 2x16 LCD.for LCD I use i2s module with 4 pin connecction with rpi2

    I connect LCD like this:

    -scl pin5;
    -sda pin 3,
    - +5v on pin 2 and
    - gnd on pin6.
also in GUI sys/conf I select LCD on and in path to Python add /var/www/currentsong.txt

    in putty I got this:

    Hi,

The LCD update engine works with a user-written Python script. Its the path to this script that is required for LCD update engine and not /var/www/currentsong.txt path.

The user-written Python script is responsible for parsing /var/www/currentsong.txt file and using its contents to update an LCD display. Moode does not contain any code to write data to specific LCD or Touch displays, it only provides the event loop (LCD update engine) and metadata (currentsong.txt).
