It's a Technics 1210 Mk2, playing Magival Mystery Tour (stereo) with my new (used, pristine, fitted today) Denon DL-304. There's a Timestep PSU and Trichord Dino Mk 2 completing the source. Sounds lovely. My dad had one many years ago (on an LPT/RB300) and I wondered if my warm recollections of it were pure nostalgia. I had a chance to listen to this one last week and I was entranced. Smooth as silk - not a bright or harsh edge but wonderfully detailed and wide open - great soundstaging. Nice big mono sound too, now with Ella's Lullabies of Birdland. I'm going to enjoy rediscovering my LPs.

Having a play with the Achromat and it's subtle but worthwhile. May improve more when I actually stick it down, of course, as per the instructions.

First observation: zero microphony. The only thing coming through this baby is what's on the record.
