well up to a point id agree but not to the stage of looking down their noses. not that im saying Cilla did but i have known a few who did after getting on in life and were rolling it cadh they started with this im better than tjose types and am not going to have anything to do with them" attitude.
Personally i say good on anyone that gets wealth and improves their lot as long as its not to anyones detriment and they are not too greedy like some multimillionaires lol

Fair enough, but I just can't relate to people who place such importance on who others vote for, or revolve their lives around political beliefs. 'You're a Tory [or insert other party here], so I hate you'. What a load of bloody nonsense!

For me, that sort of stuff is utterly meaningless, in terms of me liking a person or not, to the point of insignificance.

Absolutely. I find that as abhorrent as those who jealously resent others who've managed to better themselves, either financially or otherwise. Obviously, I didn't know Cilla Black personally, but for me she certainly didn't come across as if she was looking down on anyone - quite the opposite: she struck me as a rather warm and caring person.

If I had a friend who won the lottery and got a nice new Porsche (or other super car!!) I would be the first to say can I take a look around it and a ride in it? I just don't 'do' jealously....
