I bought a 1080p 55 inch Sony Bravia earlier this year to replace a 10 year old 720p 42 inch Panasonic plasma and it's way better than the Panasonic.

Plumped for a 49 inch LG from Richer sounds. The smart features are a bit overwhelming but the upgrade in picture quality is marvellous. The extra definition can be pretty cruel to some peoples complexion and make up requirements. The jump from LCD-LED is well worth it if you enjoy bluray movies.

Many thanks for all the advice....

been considering the same myself recently Currently have a 42" Phillips Hd ready tv ive had for about 6 or 7 years now. From everything ive read about 4k it seems the manufacturers arent agreeing to a certain standard so everyone seems to be advising not to bother with that yet, along with the lack of 4k content. So ive been considering a 50" sony LED one instead. Still not decided though.

Same thoughts here about 4k so I bought this Sony a month ago after reading many reviews it's a great tv when set up right, it was £900 when first released.

The boy got a 60" bush from argos earlier in year for under 300 and got a free soundbar... it was crap so gave it away but the pic on the telly is superb. very attractive tv with its thin silver bezel. Got a 32" Toshiba in the den and a 40" Sony in the living room. They seem big enough. The wife thinks they're too big. There are a few smaller ones around the house.

I had two LGs pack up on me.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
